Walk the Talk 

Over three days, we hosted walks and conversations along the sea in Almedalen to explore transformative challenges - from extractive to regenerative business models, phasing out fossil fuels, and Ukraine's reconstruction as a democratic model. Each day, small groups discussed systemic change, seeking new ways to think, measure, and act together.

Our goal was to create dialogic spaces - places for deep listening, shared learning, and holding complexity in a fragmented world. These walks, called "Mellan Rummen" (Between Spaces), offered a "slow thought" alternative to rapid, polarized debates.

Sweden's Path to Circular Economy Leadership. At just 3.4% circular, Sweden has room to grow. In this discussion, Anja Vanhatalo, Mattias Axelson, and Elin Bergman join politicians from across the spectrum (M, S, C, MP) to explore how Sweden can lead in circular economy. A collaboration by EY, CradleNet, and the Circular Business Innovation podcast.

Key proposals include tax cuts for repairs, a national recycling strategy for critical materials, circular public procurement, and digital product passports to track reuse. Nacka and Stockholm are already pioneering initiatives like reuse centers for construction. Circular economy is both a climate solution and a business opportunity, positioning Sweden as a global front-runner.

We bring together businesses, opinion leaders, and participants to explore how we can make it easy to do the right thing at a systemic level - turning regenerative business into the norm, not the exception. Starting from concrete solutions, perspectives will meet in two roundtable discussions where the audience plays an active role. Come and think together about what actually needs to happen - now.
